Project Lead

RISE is looking for a Project Lead who would be responsible for planning, executing, organizing, and monitoring their projects. They will be asked to manage receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from clients, suppliers or our Production Managers. The Project Lead will ensure a smooth and consistent operation where parts and supplies can distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating inventory and setup drawings

  • Scheduling work shifts, meetings, etc.

  • Managing storage plans and regulate storage space for billing purposes

  • Management of Warehouse and Receiving Associates

  • Ensuring employees’ ability to safely operate material handling equipment

  • Managing Crew Leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned Crew Members

  • Maintaining equipment structures to accomplish the Warehouse and Receiving missions in a safe, effective manner

  • Material Research to ensure procurement of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability, and cost

  • Monitoring the unloading of all materials into the Receiving Department

  • Ensuring materials are staged for counting and inspection

  • Delivering invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports to Accounting Department

  • Monitoring the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control for timely data entry

  • Overseeing the supplying of materials to Fabrication for Assembly and Sub-Assembly

  • Overseeing the rotation of inventories within the warehouse

  • Developing and forecasting annual budget requirements for the Warehouse and Receiving Department

  • Anticipating and forecasting funding for future material handling equipment

  • Performing other related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1-2 years of related experience working in warehousing or a similar industry

  • 1-2 years carpentry skills

  • Forklift certification and applicable state certification for truck and/or rail operation

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Team player

  • Highly motivated

  • Attention to detail and time management skills

  • Deadline orientated
